Those Who Do Not Learn From History, Are Doomed To Repeat It – George Santayana
Hi Everyone..
One of the reasons that I started this blog is to write and publish the response I get from older people mostly strangers when I ask them this question. “If you can go back in time and give advice to yourself at 25 years what would you say to him or her?” I wanted to do it as a podcast but I am mostly talking to people at the airport and on flights since I travel a lot for work. The airport is always noisy and the I don’t know if people would want to have conversations that I have with them recorded. I start off by chit chatting with them about other things. I always have a book on me whenever I am traveling and I have noticed that books are really good conversation starters. As we talk about different books and topics then I hit them with the above question. It gets them thinking for a bit and then they respond.
I got the idea to do this when I turned 25 in August of 2017. I have read some of the advice of renowned successful people about what they will do differently. I noticed that most people say that successful people are lucky, that’s why they can say whatever they want, about the advice they will give to themselves at 25. I do not believe in luck, however I will hid to an advice from someone that is not successful(meaning rich and famous.. success means different things to different people) more than from the one who is because non famous people have a better insight in my opinion than the ones who do.
I will write about where I met them, their occupation and their first names. If there is anything else that they say during our discussion that will be helpful to anyone and is not related to the question. I will publish it as well. I think it will help each and everyone of us not to regret anything as we get older. Like the saying goes.. Fear is temporary, regret is Forever.
Until next time… PEACE
